First of all, a right-winger where we come from is a conservatist. A left-winger is a liberal. Like I mentioned before, Im still not going to say hands down wether he wore a wire or not. I guess I need to point out that my original intent was to look at the facts and not wether im republican or not. The first time I looked at the facts and now we should look at some more facts. Why is it that every single website that displays the mysterious bump shows the exact same still picture from a live TV feed. Surely if it was captured from a recorded tape after the debate there can be some more angles of the bulge. I say it just looks more like a photoshop job to me. A good one at that. Show me more pictures from different angles and I might start to believe. Bush is a horrible speaker. There is no reason to believe that because he cant speak that he cant lead. I know people feel more confident when the man in charge of them is capable of putting sentences in complex guided statements. Even in the academic realm people can be noted for thier ability to speak. I can show you a D student who could convince you to buy land on mars.... and I can show you a good leader who couldnt sell bubble gum to 3rd grader. We dont live in a world where we need a man to stand up on the hill side and with his barbaric yawp over the roof tops of the world say "FOLLOW ME".

Thoughts from afar2004-10-11 17:39:55andydoc

In my experience in Scotland, a right winger is a soccer player who inhabits the right hand side of a soccer field and is generally an attacking player - what this has to do with Bush and his wire is quite beyond me! Also, in this technilogically very advanced world we live in, what exactly were dimpled chads? Why were masses of black voters excluded from the 2000 election and why did it take Dubbya's Daddy's cronies to get him the job rather than the American people? Merely questions from an ignorant Scot! I kind of concur with most of the views on this side of the Atlantic - if he wore a wire why was he still so bad? Is he really as stupid as he tries to convince us he is? Perhaps it was Kery's man that was feeding Bush his lines?

bush's wire2004-10-11 14:30:20kadena

I am a right winger but my point is not whether Bush wore a wire or not. We live in a very advanced technological world. To think the most powerful man in the world has a wire the size of a deck of cards on his back is dumb. Seriously, if he had a wire you would never know it. These things are capable of being so tiny. For you to think the President would risk doing something so obvious like that shows you are just looking for something to theorize about. Be real about this. Minds capable of being this abstract should be put to better use. Or perhaps you just hate bush so much you will believe anything whether it is plausible or not. Which brings us to hippies...--bush2k4 Evidently they, the bush hey boys are not as sharp as you think they are...Could you explain the hump, clearly rectangular in shape, that is clearly shown in the shots of Bush's back. It is not a protective vest, so do not waste your time in that arena. It is very clear that you are one of those Republican folks that only care if one wins, no matter how... One that says, do not confuse me with facts, as they do not matter anyway. Never a hippie as you seem to suggest, but just a person that observes and asks questions, unlike some.

Funny that he wore a wire and still is sooo bad! I feel after the last debate the only people that are still going to vote for bush are ignorant people and stuped people! Well lets not forget the religious freaks!

Did Bush wear a wire during the first debate2004-10-06 14:28:45kadena

There are allegations that Bush wears a wire so that he can be told what is the proper thing to say, and what answer should be given to questions that are addressed to him. A Washington editor for Reuters stated that Bush wore a wire when he gave the State of Union address.. But as usual the media failed to inquire about it. If you look at the camera shots of Bush's back during his debate with Kerry, you will notice the square hump that shows very clearly, under his $1000 suit, with an S shaped cord appearing to snake up the right side of his back. This is probably a repeater/receiver that picks up transmitted signals and words from his handlers and transmits them, at low power, to a passive transducer earpiece that he wears. If you look closely at him during the times he is trying to put together a half way intelligent response, it appears that he is waiting and stalling, until information can be conveyed to him. Television viewers have heard a strange voice saying the same words that are later spoken by Bush. This has happened on more than one occasion. This needs to be investigated by the Comission on Presidential Debates and journalists that follow him. The a American People need to know, if in fact this is happening, and they are being hoodwinked again by this Adminstration. Interesting, and I thought that he was controlled by strings held by Karl Rove, and someone elses voice was what one really heard. Innovation is wonderful!!!
