It's Joplin PoPs time!

The 36th annual Joplin PoPs hosted by Joplin Pro Musica will take place on June 24, 2016, with a performance by the Warrensburg, Missouri Community Band under the direction of Dr. Russell Coleman. Gates open at 6 p.m.; the event begins at 8 p.m. allowing time to enjoy a picnic supper on the oval at Missouri Southern State University-Joplin before the show.

The program will include vocal and instrumental soloists, and an announcer (a local radio personality) who will narrate information about the program selections that include patriotic tunes, show tunes and light classics. Food vendors will include AJ's Eatery, Kings Kettle Corn, Pineapple Bliss and Tac-O-the Town. At the end of the program fireworks will be presented thanks to Crossland Construction Company, Inc. and Mercy Hospital Joplin.

Tickets are $10 for adults. Children who are 12 and younger are free. For tickets (add a $1 service charge) go here. Tickets for cash or check may be purchased at All Things Grand in Carthage and Cleo's Picture Framing and Ernie Williamson Music in Joplin or at the event.
