NEVADA, MO - Prairie Pride Inc. has announced that approximately 1,000 members have invested almost $32 million for a 100% producer-owned coop to build a combination 21 million bushel soybean extraction and 30 million gallon biodiesel plant. The numbers are the result of an 8-week equity drive.

Although it has enough equity to cover the costs of the project, the Board of Directors of Prairie Pride have approved extending the equity drive's deadline to April 10, 2006. They concluded that an additional three to four million dollars would allow for a more confortable working capital margin and place Prairie Pride in a better negotiation position with a senior lender.
