Celebrated African choir to perform on Feb. 10th
January 06, 2015
The African Children's Choir has had the privilege to perform before presidents, heads of state and most recently the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, for her diamond jubilee. The non-profit humanitarian and relief organization, dedicated to helping Africa's most vulnerable children, will be performing before a Joplin audience on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015. The event takes place at St. Paul's Methodist Church, 2423 W. 26h St., beginning at 6:30 p.m. Featured will be children's songs, traditional spirituals and gospel favorites in a program of song and dance.

Most recently the choir recorded some tracks with Sarah Hickman for a CD, "Love is a Journey." They also will have a small role in an upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures' movie staring Hugh Jackman.

Music for Life (the parent organization) works in seven African countries, educating over 52,000 children and, through the years, impacting the lives of over 100,000 people through its relief and development programs.

No tickets are needed. A free-will offering will be taken.
