According to a study done by the University of Missouri in 2012 (The Economic Impact of Medicaid Expansion on Missouri):
- In it's first year Medicaid Expansion would create 1769 new jobs in southwest Missouri alone and reduce unemployment here by 23%.
- If Medicaid expansion is accepted by Missouri and fully realized, a family of four could expect to save $1688 in reduced insurance premiums from 2014 to 2020.
According to Community Health Assessments over 700 Missourians die due to lack of healthcare each year.
Please Call State Senator Ron Richard at (800) 980-4407 and encourage him to CLOSE THE COVERAGE GAP. Let him know you support Medicaid Expansion in Missouri and that you VOTE!
