A Faith 'N Freedom Festival/political fundraiser will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the Ashcroft Family Farm, 5603 W. Farm Rd. 54, Willard. The event will feature an evening of food, music and talks from some of the nation's leading conservatives, including former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee and U.S. Attorney General John David Ashcroft who served in the George W. Bush Administration..

Admission is $35 per person or $75 per family. (Children 18 or under are free.) A private reception will be held from 5-6 p.m. for donors of $1,000 or more. For tickets go here. Jay Ashcroft, St. Louis attorney and engineer, is running for Missouri Secretary of State on the Republican ticket. He is John Ashcroft's son. Opposing Jay Ashcroft in the August 2, 2016 primary is state Senator Will Kraus of Lee's Summit. In November 2015 Ashcroft was narrowly defeated by Democratic state Senator Jill Schupp.
