Who are the lifelong Springfieldians who are a walking, talking encyclopedia of Route 66, the Mother Road's lore and history? Meet Tommy and Glenda Pike. In 1989, while antiquing in Halltown, the Pikes came across a sign-up sheet to form a Missouri Route 66 Association. They signed up and went to the Route 66 Association of Missouris first meeting at STOS Truck Stop in Mount Vernon. The couple has been active members since then. Tommy Pike is the association's current president. Daughter Tonya, a advocate for teaching the importance of the road to the younger generation, is the current secretary of the Route 66 Association of America. For a link google missouri66.org.
